what is this site?

1. This is a satire website.

2. The editors are all observant Jews and love Judaism, especially the food part

3. The mission statement is "A place where Jews can laugh at themselves" Which is surprisingly neither a mission nor a statement.

4. Jews for Jesus are excluded from #3, (no offense, see #5)

5. We have no intention of offending anyone (if we have offended you, bummer - please send us creative hate mail here )

6. Bottomline: Laughter is our tikkun olam. (ps. we have no clue what tikkun olam means)

"If you make one person laugh, you've made the whole world laugh" - does that make any sense? let us know here

Why is it called "Bang it Out" (sounds like a porn site!!)?

"Bang it out" is actually Yiddish in nature. The popular Yiddish term "Hock mier en chinik" literally means to "bang on my tea kettle." The term is used to describe to making a lot of noise for no good reason, or yammering on about nonsense. This term has always had sentimental value to us as one of our first early childhood Jewish laughs. So Bang, or Hock in yiddish, is really the term that epitomizes the Jewish humor experience.
In America today, the office space cliche "Bang it out" means simply: to get it done quickly.

At bangitout.com, we try to intertwine Jewish religious humor with popular American culture using succint and brief punch lines to keep our beloved neurotic readers entertained. Hope this helps!

Although, thankfully this provocative title does attract a large number of faithful porn surfers which greatly adds to our tremendous visitor statistics.
